Incredible 2015 - 1017, but not for writing. My wife qualified as a Doctor and is just finishing her first year. Needless to say, all the tasks around raising 2 kids and the house, became my tasks, and a few extras were thrown in on top.
As well as a full time job. :)
However, I managed a detailed outline of almost the entire world of ESSENSE stories and 160,000 words (half of which were development - do they count :) )
Having said that, several people did read - the only story I have so far self published myself - The Conversion of Jamie's Father, and contacted me after reading it. I was overwhelmed, not just by that, but by the nice things they said. Really nice people who I warmed to straight away. :) There can be no better reason to write, than this.
It is about time The Essence of Jamie's Father was published in it's own right. It has had a wonderful life, buried in the excellent The Immortality Chronicles.
However, Jamie's Father is a moment in time for Jamie and his father. There are many, too many threads introduced in this story, which will be followed up in subsequent stories, and I want to expand a few of those threads, in that book when I publish it. So, right now, I'm picking the right pieces from all the stories, to add to that short book.
I also have to make a decision on whether to introduce Amber in this book or not. :)
Speaking of Amber :)
I'm trying to finish the first story of Amber. It is set prior to Jamie's Father, and covers the lead up to that story. Or, it might eclipse Jamie's Father, and go beyond it. Decisions, decisions. How best to tell this story?
From this, you will have gathered that I am focusing on these stories and not the James\Susan stories. You may or may not be glad to know, that I have written many stories about James and Susan too, but, they will be published later. I feel they are vital to be read, before I publish anything that takes place AFTER the Amber story.
From that you will understand, if you haven't already guessed, Conversion takes place before Jamie's Father. Quite a long time before - depending how you look at it ;)
